
CONDUCTING BIOGRAPHY
Micah's very first experience of conducting rather a rather unexpected and last minute opportunity where he stood in to conduct The Coventry City Young People's Band for their featured spot within The Coventry City Salvation Army Corps service.
From 2012 - 2015, Micah studied at Coventry University under the tutelage of Steven Mead, Trevor Groom and David Taylor. During this time, Micah had his first experiences of conducting The Coventry University Orchestra which lead to his first appointment as assistant musical director of The City of Coventry Brass Band under the tutelage of Stephen Cooper.
From late 2016, Micah's conducting experiences expanded to include being associate musical director with The Coventry Festival Band and The City of Wolverhampton Brass Band.
Between January 2018 - February 2019, Micah the Musical Director of The Brackley and District Band, during this time he implemented a successful concert series which concluded with a concert at the prestigious Stowe School with Professor Steven Mead.
Between March 2022 - June 2023, Micah was The Musical Director of The Royal Spa Brass Band and enjoyed working with the group of community based musicians on fundraising concerts and even a specially organised masterclass with Cornet Virtuoso Roger Webster.

In July 2024, Micah was approached to work with The Avonbank (Evesham) Brass Band and was appointed as their new musical director in September 2024.
​
Micah has enjoyed working with lots of different musical organisations including The Bilton Silver (Rugby) Band, The Shipston Town Band and The Alcester Victoria Silver Band.
